Seniors for Seniors

At Hella Dam Bitches n Queens Rescue, we believe there is no bond quite like that of a senior human and a senior dog. Our Seniors for Seniors program is designed to match adopters (age 65+) with dogs who share their lifestyle, energy level, and need for companionship.

  • The Perfect Match: We prioritize matching senior citizens with dogs aged 7+, who are typically calmer, have set schedules and past the "chewing" phase.

  • Reduced Adoption Fees: To help those on a fixed income, we offer a reduced adoption fee for senior-to-senior matches.

  • Succession Planning: We require all senior adopters to designate a "Legacy Guardian"—a friend or family member who agrees to take the dog if the owner can no longer care for them.
